Meet Your Teacher...

Today was Meet Your Teacher at kyle's school. They post each grade and what child has what teacher, then you go to that classroom and meet the teacher. Kyle got Mrs. Lomeli. One the way to the classroom Kyle said ~I am nervous to meet my teacher and see her~. She seems very nice and outgoing, I think Kyle will have a great school year with her! He is also excited to have 2 of his best buddies in his class.
I asked Kyle right before typing this post for his year book so I could see the correct spelling of his new teachers name and he says ~I only have 2nd grades year book, I threw first grade away since it was old~. Nice.. lol So I explained to him that we need to keep them because they are fun to go back and look at. Kids, they have the funniest ways of thinking.

High school....

Today was the class of 2012 day to get registered for high school. We went and had to stand in this long line (it was so hot and humid) then got inside, she got her unofficial class schedule, her picture taken for her ASB card, P.E clothes then we paid for the everything and she got her class t-shirt. The entire process took almost 2 hours. It is exciting to see Brittney and all her friends excited for this new chapter in there lives!!

Movie Night

Friday night we went over to our good friends house and had movie night. They set up a projector with a big screen on their garage door. She popped popcorn and had candy and we all sat out in the drive way and watched Goonies! It was so much fun and the kids loved it! Such a fun idea!!!

New addition to our family!

June 25th my sister Jennifer and her husband Karl were blessed with a 4 month old (she is now almost 6 months) baby girl named Isabella! She is so precious!! They have been trying to have a baby for many many years and also trying to adopt, well this is their lucky year, Jennifer is due in Nov with a baby girl and also have been blessed with Isabella, yes they will be close in age (9 months) but they are looking forward to having their family complete! The day they picked Isabella up they came straight over here (they were more then half way to my house) so we could meet her! We all fell in love the minute we saw her!!

Summer 2008

We can not believe it is already August! We have had a very low key summer, I have been sick most of the weeks since the kids have been out of school, so the entire month of July I spent on the couch. The kids have been great though and very understanding!! Thank heavens about 4 days before we were leaving on a a 8 day vacation I started to feel a little better. End of July until the 4th of August we were vacationing, we first went to Vegas for 2 days, then headed up to Duck Creek Utah for my family reunion for 4 days then back to Vegas on our way home. We had a blast! The reunion was great, it was so nice to see everyone (and we missed the ones that could not make it), the kids all played very well together and had a blast! One day a group went horseback riding! One day everyone went to some caves (I did not go in). They all seem to love that!

One Day we all went fishing! That was a big time hit! Brittney caught the first fish, then kyle and then Luke. Luke ended up catching 2 trout fish that we were able to bring back to camp and cook! Everyone else caught the smaller fish that we just threw back.

This is the tree Kyle and Jason could not stay out of! They would get really high! I was scared they were going to fall out of it, but they did good and no one got hurt!
