Christmas 2010

It seems this Christmas I was on top of things, Santa visit and photo for Christmas card done before Thanksgiving, shopping started Thanksgiving night, decorations up before Thanksgiving. I was just on top of things! Well was there a reason? Tuesday Dec. 7th I woke up with a feeling like someone had punched me in the stomach. As the morning went on it went into my back, not painful, just a weird feeling. I text a friend around 10 asking her what it felt like when her gall bladder went bad, she said "like she was being stabbed". Well that isn't the way I was feeling so i blew it off. By 5 that night I knew something was wrong, the pain got worse every hour. I was curled up on the couch by 8. I googled searched "gall bladder" and sure enough I had most of the symptoms. I was up pretty much all night, went to my family Dr the next morning, she ordered an Ultrasound and sure enough it came back that I had gall stones and inflammation. I had to then make a appt with a surgeon, of course they are in no hurry to see you, mind you everyday around 4:30 I would start having pain. The following week I met with the surgeon and surgery was scheduled for Thursday Dec 16th at 1:30. Surgery was about an hour and half long. I felt horrible waking up from it and was so sore! Recovery was really quick, about a week of soreness and then felt fine! I feel so good now, I am not longer tired 24/7 like I had been for the past 3 or 4 months!
Having surgery 9 days before Christmas was nice, it gave me a few days to stop and enjoy the season!
Christmas Eve we went to George's cousins house in Los Alamitos and Brittney went to her dads. We all got home around the same time (10ish) and went to bed so Santa could come! Kids slept in until 7:30. They all got a loot of stuff! Brittney got a GPS for her car (which was stolen a week and half later when she took her car to get the tire repaired), a 6 pass for snowboarding, gift cards, clothes (oh so many clothes) and odds and ends. Kyle got a x-box and games to go with it, hockey stuff, clothes, science stuff (things you blow up) and other things. Luke got a new scooter, race track, crayola maker, games, clothes, video games and plenty of other stuff (he still has about 5 items still in the boxes). Blake got truck, bubbles, police car and clothes.
After opening presents I make a big breakfast while G opens toys, puts batteries in them and gets everything hooked up and running. Then we head up to my parents for the rest of the day!
