GIRLS TRIP!

We started a tradition last year to go to my Grandparents every year with no kids or spouses! Last year it was all us siblings (my 2 older sisters and brother and our mom) and we brought the babies. My sisters 2 were only 1 and 2 and Blake was barely a year old. This year no one could go except my oldest sister (Kristy) and I, so off we went to Utah for 5 days with no hubby's or kiddo's!
I HATE HATE flying, so I am usually a nervous wreck on the flight there (didn't help that a plane crashed at the airport we were flying out of the day before that was also headed to Salt Lake). BUT we made it safe and sound!
We got to my grandparents around 6:15 p.m and my grandma popped in a pizza and made coleslaw, then we made a trip to Macy's (their grocery store) to get Chocolate covered cinnamon bears! That has become our Utah addiction!!

After our cinnamon bear run we got in our jammies and watched the movie "Paparazzi"!
Friday we meet up with some of our cousins and our aunts for lunch at a place called Kneaders (yummy sandwiches) then we went shopping with Mindy and Clayton. Friday night my grandma made Fried Chicken, cooked carrots, bread and gravy! Very yummy! After dinner we headed to our aunts house and had a blast over there! Isn't it always fun when 5 woman get together! We laughed so hard!! The things we talked about!!
Saturday we meet up with my Aunts for the "Holy Cow" bouquet that they  have in Utah twice a year! They have a bunch of different crafters there. They have the most delicious cinnamon twists there! After the bouquet we headed to a Mexican place for lunch, after that we went to a cute little store and then we were all (except Grandma, she is never tired) so tired we headed home to nap before going to Texas Road House for dinner! That is a really good BBQ place! After that we went to our Uncle and Aunts for Games!! We played Left, Center Right and 9's!!
Sunday was just a day we hung out (besides me dragging my sister to Starbucks). Every Sunday all the family come over to my Grandparents for dinner, its loud and crazy but so much fun! Since I was a kid I remember and love Sunday dinners at Grandpa and Grandpa's, roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade rolls ad cooked carrots!

Monday we went to a yummy yummy sandwich shop, the bread was so good! We hit a few stores, went back to my aunts to check movie times and plan out "girls night". We meet up with another aunt and some cousins at Wingers for dinner then headed to see "Just go with it". Cute movie with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston!
Tuesday we got up early and packed up, headed to Costco to "stock up" on bread, I know your thinking BREAD? Well Utah has the most delicious bread ever (besides homemade, but it tastes so much like homemade). My sister and I fill our entire carry on full of just bread!! After our bread run, we went over to our aunt's, we went to a little cottage type place that has a tasty restaurant and a bunch of different shops. Then it was time to head to the airport, with one final stop on the way there to get "chocolate covered cinnamon bears" to bring home!

Traffic was a little thick which made us kind of nervous we were going to be late to the airport, but we made it in plenty of time!

Saying good bye is always so hard! 5 days went so fast! I wish we could make the trip more often!
