Blake is sleeping, Luke is watching TV and the older 2 are in school so i am going to try to sneak in some blogging.
Today is Kyle;s last day of 3rd grade. It is bitter sweet, I am excited for him to go into 4th but am also very nervous for him because school doesn't come easy for him, he struggles and has a hard time, I am praying something clicks and 4th grade isn't such a challenge so he will start to enjoy his class time. Kyle had a fabulous teacher this year and I will really miss her, she worked so hard with Kyle and would even come in early to work with him 2 days a week. She won't be returning next year beacuse of the budget cuts she got laid off.
Tomorrow Brittney will finish her freshman year!!!! No longer the little man on campus anymore! She is really enjoying high school, she has the drama that comes along with high school girls but always pulls through them. She isn't a A+ student but I think (hopefully) she is learning she needs to give it all her effort.
Both kids will be going to summer school this summer, so we won't have much of a summer and school starts a week earlier this next year then normally becuase labor day falls late. So we will enjoy our Fridays and month of August!
I can not rememeber the last time I blogged... So I am sure I have a lot to write..
We took Luke for a hearing test (just to rule it out, cause he is loud and his speech isn't that great) and were shocked when she said his ear drums don't vi berate like they should. The same day we took him to our family Dr. because we noticed about a week before that one of his testicles was gone, we know he has always had two, now he is missing one. We took her the hearing report and she gave us a number to a ENT and to a urologist. We were able to take him in the next day to the urologist and he recommended surgery to bring it back down, so I scheduled it for the following Wednesday. I came home and researched both things online and was thrown between what i read about the missing testicle, 50/50 about it coming back or not. About the ears everything I read said Tubes, I was kind of excited about that, it just seemed to be the answer to all of the things we are concerned with, loudness, not pronouncing his words correctly etc. G and I talked about it and decided to get a second opinion on it, so I cancelled the surgery and booked a appointment with another Dr. Plus we thought if he needs tubes maybe the Dr.'s could work together and do the two things at once so he didn't have to go under twice. We see the second urologist June 18.
We went to two different ears nose throat Dr.'s. One said his ears are fine and repeated the hearing test, showed his drums were moving perfectly and there was no fluid, G and I were kind of bummed. It was like we took on step forward and now just took one back, we were back to where we started. 5 days later ENT Dr. number 2.. She said he has congestion in his ears, no fluid congestion and that some over the counter allergy medicine would help that, she also said she'd recheck him in Sept just to make sure. So at least we got something right?
