4th of July

Monday July 4th we headed up to my parents house. Every year we swim and BBQ and usually go down to Redlands to the University of Redlands to watch their firework show. It is fun, but so hot and we have to get there so early to get our spot. Well this year the city my parents live in was doing a firework show, so we stayed there and did what we did every year when I was growing up, we had home made ice cream and sat on the driveway (we use to sit on the grass but now there is a hug two story house across the street that blocks some of our view) and watched the show! So much better then sitting in the heat and fighting the crowd!
Blake did not like the fireworks and neither did my niece Emmalynn so they stayed inside with Gram.

It rained a good amount that day, but the kids loved swimming in it!

I forced him to smile so I could take a picture! He always hides from the camera! This was the best I got!
