BON FIRE!!

G got up at his normal (4:30 a.m) time he does Monday through Friday to head down to our favorite beach to save us a bon fire pit! My good friend and I have been talking about doing this all summer and this was the last weekend we could do it! He thought I was crazy when I told him that the pits are gone by 6:30.
He got there at 5:35 and was the 10th person in line waiting for them to open the beach. He called me at 7 and said "you weren't kidding, this is crazy, every pit is taken".
The boys and I meet him there around 11 (Brittney had gone to Lake Havasu with her best friend for the weekend, so she wasn't with us). Our friends got there around 1 due to having to hike it down since the parking lot was already full. Then we had another family join us around 4.

I thought this guys tattoos were very interesting.... He has a bar code on his side!? Who and were is going to be scanned?

    Luke learned to boggy board that day! He loved it!

We played in the sun, sand and water until about 7 and then the guys got the pit going while us mommy's cleaned the kids up and got them into dry clothes.

We roasted hot dogs for dinner, they sure were good! Then of course we did s'mores later.

I was excited to be able to be at the beach for the sunset and to get some pictures of the sun setting! I love the beach and love the sunset on the beach!

 Blake found a balloon that was left from one of the many Birthday parties that day, he had so much fun with it!

 The kids had so much fun, they got to play on the life guard stand and thought that was really cool!

It was a fun way to end the summer! We were all so appreciative to G for being the trooper he was and getting up so early to get us a pit!
