Arizona Here we come!

The day after Christmas we were off to Arizona (Scottsdale area) for a hockey tournament. It was a long drive when you have a 4 year old that keeps saying ~when we going to be there~. I repeated ~when its dark~ at least 60 times. We had to stop every hour and a half for me to walk around (Dr's orders). We got out there and got in our room and met up with our friends (coach and his wife and 2 sons) for dinner. Dinner was yummy. We went back to our rooms and headed to bed, G and I could not sleep one bit all night. Made for a long tiring day the next day.

We had a busy day on Saturday. The kids had a game which they played at Jobbing arena (which is the home of the Phoenix Coyotes), then we all went to lunch and the team had been asked to be in the background while they did a TV interview with a few of the Coyote players. Then it was time for the Coyotes vs. the L.A kings game where our team skated during intermission.
It was a long but yet fun day! The next morning we had a early game. After the game we had a team pizza party and then went back to our room and G and I napped and the boys played hockey and Brittney read. That night the team had a pin exchange at another ice rink, this is where they exchange pins with other teams. It was neat to see the different pins and where they all came from. G took our boys and the coach and his boys to the pin exchange while Brittney, the coached wife and another mom all went to attempt some shopping but that city has little, we stopped and got some sprinkles cupcakes and then went and got a table at outback steak house for dinner and waited for the boys to all get there.

Monday we had the entire day to do whatever since our game was at 7:00 that night. So everyone off the team (well minus a few) all went to this fun zone place where they rode go carts, bumper boats and played miniature golf. It was fun!

Brittney and Kyle are in the black car.

We all had a really good time even if we lost 3 out of 4 of our games. It helped to know that most teams were a league above us playing down for the tournament. It was a fun experience!!
