Sunday December 21 st a girlfriend and I took the kids to see Santa. It was a train ride up to the north pole and then a stop at Santa's for some hot chocolate and a visit. The kids loved it. It was a long night. We got there at 5 had to wait to buy tickets, by the time we got up there they were selling departure tickets for 7-8 o'clock, so we left and went to dinner and came back to stand in a line for almost 2 hours. It was cold and the kids got bored and started getting in trouble, but once we got on the train they were good and had a blast. We know now not to ever go the weekend before Christmas and to get there even earlier then we did (they only run it at night). While I waited in line my friend took the kids to color a picture for Santa and make a list (they had a cute little booth). Luke made a list for our dogs that said they wanted bones. he was so excited when we got up to Santa and gave him the lists that Santa knew his dogs names (he did not put two and two together that their names were written on the list). Brittney was a good sport and came along with us because she knew I wanted a picture of all 3 kids with Santa. It was so much longer and colder then a trip to the mall would have been, but much more fun too.
